چکیده
We review our recent experimental results on the non-destructive quantum-state detection and spectroscopy of single trapped molecules. At heart scheme, a atomic ion is used to probe state molecular without destroying molecule or even perturbing its quantum state. This method opens up perspectives for new research directions in precision spectroscopy, development frequency standards, tests fundamental physical concepts precise study chemical reactions collisions with full control over

investigation of single-user and multi-user detection methods in mc-cdma systems and comparison of their performances
Scanning tunneling spectroscopy of single DNA molecules.
We briefly present the results of recent experiments of transverse scanning tunneling spectroscopy of homogeneous poly(dG)-poly(dC) DNA molecules and discuss them in the light of theoretical investigation. A semiempirical theoretical model is adopted to describe the transverse tunneling current across a DNA molecule placed between a metallic gold substrate and a metallic STM tip. We show that t...

To explore the analytic relevance of unbinding force measurements between complementary DNA strands with an atomic force microscope, we measured the forces to mechanically separate a single DNA duplex under physiological conditions by pulling at the opposite 5'-ends as a function of the loading rate (dynamic force spectroscopy). We investigated DNA duplexes with 10, 20, and 30 base pairs with l...
متن کاملSingle molecule spectroscopy of tetrahedral oligophenylenevinylene molecules
We probe the fluorescence from single molecules of a new class of tetrahedral oligo(phenylenevinylene) (OPV) molecules. Our results show that the tetrahedral molecules contain multiple chromophores with limited inter-arm coupling, but significant molecular motion about the central carbon results in fluctuations in the polarizability axis of the molecule. Loss in luminescence intensity is also o...
